The main house brings a warm, lived-in lodge quality to the event setting, with vertical wood siding, river-rock masonry, low metal roofs, deep verandas, heavy round columns, exposed beams and stone bases. Covered passages connect the wings, while the flagstone terrace is already set with a long dining table and casual seating. Another veranda centers on a large stone fireplace, giving the exterior spaces the feel of finished outdoor rooms.

The grounds break into distinct outdoor areas rather than one open yard. Open lawns sit under mature oaks and tall deciduous trees, with curving stone paths leading past planting beds, hedges and a circular tree court with a stone bench.
